Glenn Danzig, Irving Plaza, New York, 1982 by Eerie Von from the book MISERY OBSCURA: THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF EERIE VON
Doyle and Kenny were wearing Star Trek shirts, and Glenn had a freshly screened Count Chocula shirt for the occasion.  He told me, “Make sure you get the first three songs, ‘cause after that, we look a mess.”  Irving Plaza held about 1,000-1,500 on a good night and the Misfits always packed the in.  It had a small stage but a good room with a great vibe and hosted all the greats from the punk and hardcore days.  Even Danzig did a show there, for a freakin’ dollar, after appearing on The Jon Stewart Show in ‘94.  I was happy to be on that stage again, for sure.
