Things I really want to buy right now:

Samsung Galaxy S3

I currently have a first gen Galaxy and it’s been running super slowly compared to when I first got it.  On top of that, I’ve had to reset it at least four times in the last year and have lost numbers, data, photos and music because of that.  But it seems like a massive splurge because I’m not up for an upgrade anytime soon and I would have to get an unlocked version that’s costly!

Wacom Intuos5 Small Tablet

I have an Aiptek tablet that I’ve had for 3 years now that works fine for photo editing, but I’ve been wanting something more advanced for a while now and I think one of the new Intuos5 in a small would last me a good while and I’m sure those buttons on the side would come in handy for commands on Lightroom 4 (my Aiptek has no buttons whatsoever and looks rather boring, lolz).

Datacolor Spyder4 Studio

Been wanting a monitor calibration unit for about two years now, ever since I saw the Spyder3 Studio SR at Calumet.  Well the Spyder4 models just came out earlier this year and I’ve seen them at Fry’s, but I really want the Spyder4 Studio pack because it comes with the Spyder4 Elite for monitor calibration, the SpyderPRINT for printer calibration and the SpyderCUBE for achieving proper white balance when you are taking photos and it call comes in that awesome metal case!

It seems pretty costly at $550, but there’s currently a rebate which would make it cost $400 (if I buy it before August 11th).  Seeing that the Spyder4 Elite costs $250, the SpyderPRINT costs $350 and the SpyderCUBE costs $60, it seems like a legit deal!  But since my Canon Pixma Pro9000 printer is still at my parent’s house and my monitor feels old and I would like to buy a new monitor to calibrate first, it seems a little pointless to purchase the Spyder4 Studio at the moment…  But it would definitely come in handy in the future!
