Chase Jarvis must be my favorite, inspirational contemporary photographer if not all time favorite. The way he works with his models and and his outlook on life is truly inspirational. take for example this video of Chase having to use a Lego camera instead of a DSLR he take it in his stride and is constantly up beat about any difficulty.

We all start somewhere…
Bought my first DSLR in 2009, the Sony a200, midway through my Photo 101 class.
That summer my friend Ron invited me to my first AX and it gave me an opportunity to take photos.
I don’t know why I thought it was a good idea, but I set the aspect ratio to 16:9 and most of my photos look too long and I kind of hate myself for doing that.
What the fuck was I thinking!?
Lighting is terrible. How light works in photography is something that I still try and understand better…
But I think I’ve come a long way…
Just ask the fabulous Dio in this picture…
I’m sure they’ll vouch for me.
Photography has allowed me to meet a lot of nice and cool people.
I will always feel like I need to improve more…
